As a freelance tutor you can expect a college or independent training provider to pay anything from £120 per day up to £300 depending on your subject specialism, level of education and experience within the sector. Freelance work can be flexible, many courses tend to run from 2-8 weeks so you might opt to work for 2 months then take a couple of weeks off, or you might just work 2 days per week supporting a provider delivering part time courses, you can set your own availability. In a full-time employed role salary can range from £22k-£40k.
