Learning Support Assistant (TTO)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated Additional Learning Support team. This full-time role involves helping learners access education and achieve their potential.
You should be qualified to at least Level 3 and have experience supporting 16-19-year-olds and/or adults with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Knowledge of EHCPs and the Further Education environment is desirable, along with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners.
You will work both in and out of the classroom, assisting teaching staff, developing individual learning plans, and supporting learners to reach their goals. Strong teamwork, communication, and record-keeping skills are essential, along with a proactive and learner-centred approach.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the effective and efficient organisation and administration of initial and diagnostic assessments, and communicate results to students and colleagues.
Assist teaching staff in devising and implementing individual learning plans (ILPs) to ensure that each student has a tailored support programme and appropriate incremental learning targets.
Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure that additional learning support strategies are integrated into the planning and delivery of learning programmes.
Provide learning support for students through small group sessions and in-class assistance to facilitate the learning process.
Monitor students' progress against agreed targets using appropriate assessment tools and frameworks.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress, and provide relevant information for teaching staff, managers, and external agencies as required.
Participate in careers events, open days, and marketing activities, and contribute to the admissions and interview process for prospective students.
Supervise students in all contexts on educational premises and during off-site activities.
When appropriate, provide personal support for students with physical disabilities and learning difficulties to enable them to participate fully in the learning process.
